Medium Frequency Power Supply Product Introduction：

Medium frequency power supply is mainly used for the melting of steel, alloy steel, cast iron and other ferrous metal materials as well as stainless steel, copper, aluminium, zinc and other non-ferrous metal materials and the manufacturing of many kinds of metal powders such as copper powder, stainless steel powder, iron powder, nickel powder, alloy powder, and so on, and it can also be used in the vacuum conditions or under the protective atmosphere for melting and casting of nickel-based and its special steel, precision alloys, high-temperature alloys, rare-earth metals, active metals, copper and copper alloys, hydrogen-storage materials, neodymium-iron-boron, magnetic materials and so on.

Comparison of ordinary KGPS parallel IF power supply, KGCL series IF power supply and new IGBT series IF power supply selection：

1. Ordinary KGPS thyristor shunt medium frequency power supply

Advantages are: it has been widely used in the past decades, low price, easy maintenance, cheap parts.

Disadvantages are: high energy consumption, tonnes of steel power consumption of about 750 degrees or more. Adopting DC voltage adjustment to regulate power, low power factor (≤0.90), harmonic interference, reactive power compensation capacitor operation of the substation has different degrees of influence.

2. KGCL SCR series connection medium frequency power supply

The advantages of KGCL SCR series intermediate frequency power supply, using full-wave rectifier power supply, rectifier in the whole working process is always in the full open state (equivalent to diode rectification); series resonance power supply equipment power factor at ≧ 0.96, does not produce high harmonics, no pollution of the grid, does not affect the operation of the substation reactive power compensation capacitor. Thyristor shunt intermediate frequency power supply than ordinary energy-saving about 10%.

3. IGBT series connection medium frequency power supply

IGBT series intermediate frequency power supply inherits the advantages of the above two products: the rectifier adopts full-wave rectification, and the LC filtering method composed of capacitors and inductors makes the power factor reach more than 0.96, and there is basically no harmonic interference. Inverter part of the series inverter mode, the load is working in high pressure and small current, copper loss is small, thus greatly improving the efficiency. More than 20% energy saving than ordinary SCR parallel intermediate frequency power supply.
